I recently did an interview with Shannon Dauphin and was quoted in her article "5 Mistakes That Can Sabotage Your Career" on schools.com.   I'm especially glad to see she discussed the importance of doing semi-annual career self assessments.  It's just too easy to get swept up in the flow and lose control!

In the last few days a lot of attention has been paid to the disappointing jobs report that came out on Friday.  NPR's "Tell Me More" did a nice segment breaking down the different sides of the numbers - youth unemployment, jobs created, job seekers dropping out of the search, differing numbers for women / men, African American unemployment, and more.

Why do you think the recovery is slow?  Have you seen the labor participatory rate change in your own life?  Or do you have a success story that flies in the face of the latest jobs report?
