Getting Flexible

There's a really great article from The Atlantic that's floating around on LinkedIn - it talks about some of the ways companies are becoming more flexible and offering workers new ways of supporting the business's needs while maintaining their own lives and schedules.  Although this article was written in response to Anne-Marie Slaughter's much-publicized article "Why Women Still Can't Have It All," these are topics that I've seen coming up a lot recently - from both men and women.  What do you think?  Is flexibility important to you?  Have you ever seen a company offering employees more flexibility and then seen it backfire?
